Wind energy jobs in the federal states

On behalf of the German Wind Energy Association (BWE), VDMA Power Systems and the Offshore Wind Industry Alliance (OWIA), GWS has analyzed regional employment from wind energy in the 16 German federal states. Contrary to the popular view "wind in the north, sun in the south", we find that wind industry triggers employment in all regions. Above all, the integration of the industry and intermediate suppliers lead to employment beyond direct production and installation. A press release is available here.
