During the second biennial European Climate Change Adaptation Conference (ECCA2015) taking place from 12 to 14 May in Copenhagen GWS presented research results obtained within the project EconCCadapt (economics of climate change adaptation) supported by the German Ministry of Research and Education. The presenting co-author of a joint research effort conducted together with GWS colleagues Anne Nieters and Dr. Ulrike Lehr, Dr. Thomas Drosdowski, gave a presentation on the potential benefits of adaptations measures in Germany against the backdrop of expected extreme weather events. The quantitative results were based on macroeconomic modelling containing projections until 2050. ECCA2015 gathered more than 750 participants from 46 countries.
